K-State Salina Alumni & Friends
Whether you’re a Salina graduate or a loyal Wildcat fan in the community, it’s my pleasure to keep you connected with the campus and informed of exciting news and events.
For those of you that don’t know, the K-State Salina campus has a very storied history. There is almost 50 years worth of tradition on this plot of land on Centennial Road. In 1965, the real estate transformed from an Air Force base into Schilling Institute where it offered the first computer science degree in the state. Four years later it was renamed Kansas Technical Institute and then in 1988 it was converted into Kansas College of Technology. With the approval of Governor Joan Finney, the campus officially became Kansas State University Salina in 1991.
We are very proud of our unique past and believe each graduate from the schools that came before set the tone of success for our current programs and students. It is my hope that everyone with a tie to this campus will consider being a part of the elite group of K-State Salina alumni and friends. Through gatherings, activities, initiatives and giving, together we can keep the legacy of this campus alive.
If you have questions about the alumni program or would like to know how you can support our university, please feel free to send me an email, firstname.lastname@example.org. The university is extremely grateful for your support - we wouldn’t be where we are today without your purple pride. As we continue to grow and progress, I look forward to building even stronger bonds with our Wildcat faithful.
