AMBASSADORS SELECTED FOR COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY AND AVIATION August 26, 2004 SALINA – Five Kansas State University at Salina students were selected for the 2004-2005 class of ambassadors in the College of Technology and Aviation. The ambassadors program was begun in 2002 on the Salina campus to support new student recruitment and public relations programs. The five new members have joined seven returning ambassadors this fall to assist with a variety of projects, including giving campus tours for prospective students and other campus guests, assisting with special events on campus, providing leadership on student panels, greeting and visiting with dignitaries and VIPs, attending alumni events and helping to plan and implement the annual All-University Open House. “These responsibilities require the very best students on campus in order to best represent what K-State at Salina has to offer,” said Dean Dennis Kuhlman. “We are all pleased with the enthusiasm of these five outstanding students and proud that they have chosen such a meaningful way to support their college.” The following students were selected for the 2004-2005 class of Ambassadors: Nathan Gorrell, Centerville, junior in professional pilot, is a graduate of Prairie View high School in LaCygne and the son of Dwight and Roselle Gorrell. Patrick Rinearson, Olathe, junior in professional pilot, is a graduate of Olathe East High School and the son of Dave and LeAnne Rinearson. Sarah Corbett, Salina, junior in technology management, is a graduate of Solomon High School and the daughter of Rick and Denise Corbett. From out of state: Jennifer Peasley, Littleton, Colo., junior in professional pilot. She is a graduate of Bear Creek High School in Lakewood, Colo., and the daughter of Jim and Mary Peasley. Brendan Haiduk, White Deer, Texas, sophomore in professional pilot. He is a graduate of White Deer High School and the son of Eric and Kay Haiduk. .
