WILDCAT FLY-IN TO BRING PILOTS TO SEE K-STATE PLANES AND FACILITIES September 3, 2004 SALINA – Pilots from across the state and region soon will land at Kansas State University’s Salina campus for the Fall 2004 Wildcat Fly-In. The Oct. 2 event is sponsored by the K-State aviation department, giving guests the chance to see the university’s aircraft fleet, as well as training facilities for the professional pilot and aviation maintenance programs. “We are excited to have a fly-in on our campus this fall,” said Marlon Johnston, aviation department head. “It’s a great chance for pilots or anyone from the area to come out and see the planes and tour the aviation training facilities.” Breakfast is free, with free-will donations accepted. Breakfast will be served in the Aviation Center from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Several special static displays are scheduled to be featured in conjunction with the fly-in, including military and civil aviation aircraft.
