The KDOT Certified Inspection and Testing Training (CIT) Program presented at Kansas State University at Salina is driven by the federal requirement for quality control and quality assurance techniques in highway construction. The goal of this testing and training program at K-State at Salina is that individuals engaged in highway work receive specific training in soils, aggregate and concrete. The Kansas Department of Transportation has determined that the requirements of the American Concrete Institute's (ACI) certification examinations match the objectives of the Kansas Department of Transportation.
