PLACEMENT OF GRADUATES

Graduates are employed by manufacturing industries, testing laboratories, marketing firms, consulting firms, government agencies, and businesses they establish themselves. They work as designers developing new products, as manufacturing technicians solving problems of producing these products for performance or quality, as plant engineers improving or maintaining factories, and as technical salespersons selling these products.

The duties of technicians and technologists may involve technical graphics, the use of handbooks and tables, calculations of strength and reliability, the selection of materials, and cost estimating for the development of almost any type of machine or mechanism. They may also conduct performance and endurance tests on various devices and report results.

Recent graduates of the program are working for companies such as Harley Davidson, Excel, Elliott Turbocharger, Hornady, and Gas Technology Institute.
