Student Diversity Coordinator

K-State Salina seeks a Student Diversity Coordinator. This position provides leadership and direction for international students, underrepresented students, disabled students and non-traditional students in seeking academic resources, connecting with the campus, and providing cultural/educational events targeted specifically for the various groups.

Position Duties and Responsibilities

Duties of this position include leadership and direction for international, disabled, non-traditional and military students. This position is responsible for documenting disabilities, coordinating accommodations for documented disability needs, developing and oversight of orientations for new non-traditional students, veterans and international students, and will work in collaboration with other Student Life members to provide programming activities, cultivate campus and non-campus mentors, work with the Multicultural Student Union and the Multicultural Connection Committee to provide diversity opportunities for students, staff and faculty, and coordinate opportunities to partner with other colleges/universities’ diversity, veteran, and non-traditional events.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Three years of college experience in a student services capacity
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet people easily and adjust quickly to varying situations
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of individuals
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Strong social skills
  • Ability to travel
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree
  • Admissions experience
  • K-State Graduate
  • ISIS software knowledge
  • Talisma software knowledge


$40,000 -$45,000 Depending on Qualifications
