The week of November 7th-11th is National Distance Learning Week, a time where schools from around the nation celebrate and showcase their online programs for current and prospective students.  Read more below about K-State Salina's endeavors to celebrate NDLW.


    Did You Know?

  • Over 6.7 million students were taking at least one online course during the Fall 2011 term, an increase of 57,000 students over the previous year.
  • 32% of higher education students now take at least one course online.
  • in 2003, 57.2% of academic leaders rated the learning outcomes in online education as the same or superior to those in face-to-face, that number is now 77%

  • Wednesday, November 13th, 3:30 p.m - Room TC 151 - Webinar from the United States Distance Learning Association - Learning Styles: Do They Really Matter
  • Thursday, November 14th, 3:30 p.m. - College Center Conference Room -   Continuing Education Distance Learning Open House Featuring Guest Speaker Dr. Gayle Doll, Assistant Professor, Director K-State Center on Aging.  Dr. Doll will discuss her experience as a faculty member teaching online and the benefits of distance education.
