Welcome to Family Weekend at K-State Salina, where we aim to celebrate connections! Our goal is to provide families with an immersive experience showcasing student life, academic experiences, employer connections and community engagement.

Activities and Experiences

Friday, April 5 | 6-9 p.m.

Saturday, April 6 | 9-10:30 a.m.

    • Bring your appetite! Enjoy a pancake feed hosted by Flight Team and Women's Air Race Team. Donations are welcomed and will go straight to the student organization!

Saturday, April 6 | 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

  • View departmental & student projects
  • Interact with student organizations and clubs
    • Alpha Eta Rho is holding a carnival full of activities for the whole family! Try out some of their Wildcat purple pride popcorn, jump around in a bouncy house, and test your skills with a variety of yard games.
    • Aerospace Maintenance Professionals Club is showcasing its Bellanca Cruiseair project and offering interactive games.
    • Cybernetics club will share information about their autonomous racers and robotics projects. In addition, you will get to meet Gonzo the Tankbot.
  • Take to the skies in aviation simulators
  • See the static plane display
  • Employer Showcase
    • Take the opportunity to connect directly with potential employers, gain insights into leading companies, and explore the dynamic partnerships that can take a student's academic experience into post-graduation. Whether you’re seeking an internship or full-time position, this showcase is for you!
  • Go on a campus tour
  • Enjoy lunch with your family at Centennial Dining
    • Learn about the tight-knit K-State Salina community and meet the team dedicated to making the student experience the best it can be. This is an opportunity to connect with the Division of Academic Success and Student Affairs team and learn about campus resources available.
  • Shop at the Centennial Bookstore

  • Shop Downtown Salina
    • Visit the heart of the community, Downtown Salina, after the open house. Whether you are looking for a delicious bite to eat, need a shopping spree or want to enjoy a family game of bowling, there is something for you.

Families must register for the activities they will be taking part of during Family Day.
