About the Library
The K-State Salina Library will be a model of excellence for technical libraries in service and resources. The library will endeavor to contain the finest and most current technical and scientific information through collection development, modern computing, and telecommunications technology.
We believe in the freedom
To Read,
To Learn,
To Discover.
The mission of the K-State Salina Library is to support the college in its mission of teaching, scholarship, and service, and to support resource sharing in the community and state. In striving to fulfill these goals, the philosophy of the library is changing. The Library is no longer a warehouse of materials, it is a facilitator of information exchange. Successful implementation of these goals is influenced by a tradition of providing print and non-print resource materials, the promise of new technologies, and well-trained library staff who facilitate information access.
The K-State Salina Library welcomes and supports all people in their enjoyment of reading and pursuit of lifelong learning. Working together, we strive to provide equal access to information, ideas and knowledge through books, electronic databases, programs and other resources.
A current K-State ID or community patron card is required to borrow materials. You are responsible for the material you borrow. Please pay attention to loan periods and due dates. Keeping your email and postal mailing address up-to-date with K-State Libraries will help ensure you receive notifications in a timely manner. Please read all notices the libraries send to you.
