Girls in Aviation Day

The Kansas State University Aerospace and Technology Campus Chapter of Women in Aviation International (WAI) will be hosting its sixth-annual Girls in Aviation Day - a free program for girls ages 8 to 18, designed to introduce the possibilities available with a career in aviation.

No cost to attend!

Girls ages 8 to 18 are invited to this day along with their parents. If you attended this in the past, wear your Girls in Aviation Day shirt!

During the event:

  • Connect with other girls and women who are excited about aviation
  • Explore the opportunities for work and play in aviation and aerospace
  • Meet women in various fields of aviation
  • Experience exciting hands-on activities such as flight simulators and much more

Schedule of events:

10 a.m. | Check-in
10:30 a.m. | Welcome
11 a.m. | Aviation workshops
12 p.m. | Lunch
12:20 p.m. | Aviation workshops
1:40 p.m. | Closing and prize drawing
2 p.m. | Program ends

Lunch will be served. All guests will receive a drawstring sports pack, WIA Aviation Fun Patch, Whirlygig, a copy of Girls in Aviation magazine and a limited-edition Girls in Aviation Day t-shirt! The first 100 girls to register will receive an additional surprise.

 

Please note: All children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of their stay at the Aviation Center.
