New Student Orientation & Onboarding

This is your opportunity to learn all the K-State Salina essentials and set yourself up for success by experiencing campus firsthand.

Parents and guests are welcome to attend (though not required), with each student permitted to bring up to two guests.

The Orientation experience includes meeting new K-State Salina students, connecting with your academic departments and learning important information to make your first year a success. In-person orientation dates are recommended, but virtual programs are available.

Move-in Day 2026

Move-in Day for the Fall 2026 semester is Friday, August 21! Incoming students will need to register their place for Move-in Day.

The schedule is below:

8:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. | Move-In Group 1
- Group 1: Harbin Hall first floor, Schilling Hall second floor and Earhart Hall third floor
10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. | Move-In Group 2
- Group 2: Harbin Hall second floor, Schilling Hall first floor and Earhart Hall first and second floors
11 a.m.-2 p.m. | Food Trucks Available
2 p.m. | Family Farewell
2:30 p.m. | REQUIRED Student Activities
- Student Life Center
4 p.m.-6:30 p.m. | Dinner in the cafeteria
- Meal plans begin
6-8 p.m. | Salina Downtown Bash
- Campbell Plaza, 126 S. Santa Fe Ave.
8:30 p.m. | REQUIRED All Hall Meeting for Earhart Hall

Schedule your enrollment meeting

Enrollment meetings begin on April 20 and continue through the first day of classes for the Fall 2026 semester. Our academic success coaches will email you regarding scheduling your enrollment meeting in early April.
