Program Details and Registration

Professional desk with laptop and notebook The technical writing professional education credential is comprised of six courses. Learners may choose one of the first courses and then complete a subsequent five courses to earn the credential. No previous experience is required!

Course Information

Course 1: Fundamentals of Technical Writing

Learning the foundations of clear, concise, and structured language used in professional and technical settings. This course serves as the required foundation for all other courses.



Course 2: Document Design

This course builds practical document design expertise in alignment with industry standards, enhancing communication skills. Curriculum will focus on layout, readability, and visual communication of technical information.

 

Course 3: Advanced Technical Writing
This course prepares learners to create impactful proposals for grants, research projects and business initiatives. Students will build advanced writing and editing skills for professional and industry contexts.
Course 4: Writing for Oral Communication
Equipping learners with essential skills for creating content for speeches, presentations, and other spoken formats. This course strengthens skills in presenting, explaining, and delivering technical content verbally.
