Pix4D Training for Public Safety
K-State Salina, a certified Pix4D training provider, offers a six-hour, hands-on course in UAS data collection and image processing. Participants will learn the full workflow — from planning and executing drone flights to capturing high-quality aerial imagery and processing it in Pix4D, a professional, online photogrammetry and drone mapping software. You’ll gain practical experience in real-world applications such as critical scene reconstruction, wildland fire monitoring, and natural disaster mapping. By the end of the course, you’ll be able to produce professional data products including orthomosaics, 3D models, point clouds, and georeferenced maps ready for decision-making and reporting.
This training is designed for:
- Public safety and emergency response professionals
- Environmental specialists and natural resource managers
- Surveyors and GIS technicians
- Students and professionals seeking hands-on experience with UAS mapping and photogrammetry
- Anyone looking to expand their expertise in aerial data collection and analysis
No prior Pix4D experience is required — just a willingness to learn and apply drone technology in practical, real-world scenarios.
Participants will leave the course with the skills to turn drone imagery into actionable, professional data products that can support operations in public safety, environmental monitoring, surveying, and disaster response. Additionally, the knowledge gained provides a foundation for advanced Pix4D modules, which can lead to a Pix4D certification, a valuable credential recognized across industries.
