Featured Partnership

NIST First Responder UAS Indoor Challenge

AARC worked with the National Institute of Standards and Technology or NIST, to identify specific challenges with indoor rescue scenarios that would affect first responders. The NIST First Responder UAS Indoor Challenge’s goal was to obtain solutions from outside researchers that addressed these challenges and provided an avenue towards advancing uncrewed technology.

K-State's Applied Aviation Research Center is also involved in helping to create a UAS education and interest in middle school students. This program includes a drone racing league where students learn about UAS and test their skills against their peers from communities around the region!
