1. Traffic Control Inspection Course

Online course with exam included - course and exam are online and access is available upon registration. The course is available year round with the course period designated in your registration confirmation email and the CanvasPro course page. You must complete the course and subsequent exam(s) by the stated completion date in your confirmation email and in CanvasPro. This option is required for initial certification. The written exam can be taken and submitted one time. It can be taken at the student’s location and requires an approved proctor. Registration is necessary if a retake is needed.
Prerequisite: Pass Basic Math test prior to enrolling in the online course.

Course Description

This course reviews the basics of proper traffic control inspection using 2015 Specifications and current Traffic Control standard drawings for all construction projects in the State of Kansas. It is required once every 5 years for individuals who anticipate being involved with traffic control and is recommended for those who are currently involved with traffic control and would like a basic refresher.

There is no workbook for this course. Everything needed is provided in the online course.

Testing Information

  • Exam: This course requires a written exam.
  • Score: A score of 70% or higher is needed to pass.
