Health services

Kansas State Salina students have a variety of health care providers in Salina to choose from.

Students have access to phone counseling through Counseling Services on the Manhattan campus. Students can also seek professional counseling from one of our off-campus community facilities. Professional counseling is provided by Central Kansas Mental Health Center (CKMHC) or Veridian Behavioral Health in Salina. Both CKMHC and Veridian offer comprehensive mental health services and a full continuum of care for community members.

Students referred to professional counseling services may be eligible for free sessions. Please contact Julie Rowe at 785-826-2662 or

Crisis Assistance

The Director of Student Life coordinates resources and mobilizes services to respond to the needs of students in crisis. Assistance is given to students to help accurately assess their situation, provide information and teach the skills students need to navigate crises. Additionally, a number of services are provided to students to assist with medical and personal emergencies and in the event of hospitalization. Read more about crisis assistance at K-State Salina.

Student of Concern

Students, faculty and staff share the responsibility of keeping our campus safe and together work hard to have resources in place. The university community is guided by the Principles of Community, which describes the type of safe, supportive and caring community K-State seeks to foster.

Sign up for K-State Alerts to notify you in case of an emergency. K-State Alerts will send you a text, email or voice message if there is an alert for your campus. Alert beacons, police public address system and website postings will warn the community in the event of a campus emergency.

Utilize security measures on campus

K-State Salina Security has full-time officers that patrol campus 24 hours a day, seven days a week. K-State Police monitor numerous emergency phone call boxes located throughout the Kansas State University Salina Aerospace and Technology Campus.

Rave Guardian is an app for the K-State community that provides a direct connection to K-State police and other resources so that everyone can easily communicate all their safety needs. Its easy-to-use features help you and your friends stay safe every day.
