Person-Centered Case Management (PCCM) Training

This training is designed to teach participants ways to build collaborative partnerships with agency participants, consumers, and clients. Specific focus will be paid to how to overcome differences of opinion and other obstacles that stand in the way of helping providers and the persons they serve working together. While the course meets the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS) requirements to become PCCM certified in the substance use disorder field, techniques covered translate to most any helping field.

Upon completion of this course participants will be able to:

  • Describe the purpose, principles and core concepts of Person-Centered Case Management
  • Practice using PCCM assessment and Wellness Goals training tools
  • Apply for PCCM certification that's required to provide case management services to persons receiving substance use disorder treatment in the state of Kansas

Participants must have either an associate's degree or have worked at a helping agency for two years. Please contact KDADS for verification of acceptable helping agencies.
